“I am retiring this week, but before I do, I wanted to let you know I was leaving a legacy of sorts at my elementary school. Actually you are the one who is leaving the legacy through me! I have trained (with the help of you-tube and your handouts) quite a few Special Ed teachers as well as title one teachers and aides, in the Story Champs program and in using the NLM. They are all really excited with it and many of them say they are using it to progress monitor or to teach story grammar. The icons are really a big hit, and I personally feel they are the best I have used. Everyone likes the rubric, which is simple to use, with practice.”
